A really beautiful game. The houses, characters and trees are well done. The inventory system still lacks a good UI/UX style. White on a coloured background is terrible :D, the font is sometimes very small and difficult to read. The tooltips are also very tiny. The background music does not play from the beginning when it has finished, it simply remains silent.
Stay tuned and good luck! When is the next update coming?
Oh, interesting – you’re actually the first one who said they don’t like the look of the inventory! I’ll definitely keep that in mind and ask around a bit more.
For the font size, I think the best solution will be to let players adjust it themselves. I had it bigger at some point, but in playtests that was seen as too big – so haha, it seems to really depend on preference.
About the background music: would you prefer it to loop constantly, or do you like when a track ends, there’s a short pause, and then a new one starts later? I agree it needs more variety, so I’d love to hear what you prefer there.
As for updates: the next itch version will focus on testing the combat system – that should be ready in the next 1–2 months. After that, I’ll release the finished demo (on, which will include the first questline (or 14 in-game days, if someone decides not to do the quest right away, haha).
I don't mean directly that the inventory looks bad ;) It has a few technical design flaws.
If you let the player adjust the font size, you have to limit that. But then the UI must be able to scale in size if the player takes the maximum font size. This doesn't necessarily make it any easier from a design point of view, instead of directly specifying a balanced design with a comfortable size. As a rule, games use different font sizes for dialogues, tooltips, inventory and buttons, for example. It's better to limit yourself to maybe 3,4 sizes.
Music:
I would prefer the music to continue in the background or start from the beginning. Whereby the music adapts to the location/situation of the game. If the developer wants it to. (more work, of course, but also more variety)
Really relaxing farming game with beautiful graphics, i especially like how the nature looks, trees and grass are great. Interactions with NPCs are also a great addition to the story. Overall fun game :)
right now you can find it in the forrest , spawns in the top of thaht area and also in the area next to the witch house, a mine is planned, so right now it is pretty uncommon :)
Think I diagnosed the issue, it has something to do with how many items have changed, how many trees cut and how much land sowed, the lag seems to increment with that rather than the days. Do experiment with this.
Also I meant to mention some more points but forgot too (lol) -The hotbar is not indicated well within the inventory, which was confusing the first play around: it's the top bar of the inventory btw. -Hotbar needs hotkeys for numbers.
It ran without crashing or making it impossible to continue playing. It's interesting and I'm curious to see how it continues. Unfortunately I ended the post with [ESC] and couldn't get the item. The few other bugs can be fixed. On the whole, the game runs well.
Seems like it would be pretty fun and casual if expanded, the art is pretty good and the music is decent enough, though it's pretty repetitive.
The inputs need to be more obvious as initially I had no idea what I was doing, if anything. Similarly, the inputs aren't said, if anybody's playing this and was as confused as I was, here are the ones I know of:
WASD (duh) Left click to interact with items (planting and picking crops, using tools, etc.) Right Click to interact with land (the shop, chest, letters.) E for inventory
Also, to get more water, go down and click on the water close to you.
These ^ should've been said. The UI is bland though serviceable. There's no punishment for fainting and as far as I could tell, no reason to eat other than a sliver of more energy. Don't know what the amulet does.
Most crucially, the game starts to freeze more and more with each day, at about day 9 or 10, the game crashes.
This does seem promising, I'll be waiting for the full version, but not a lot right now.
I was just wondering, after discovering what the inputs are, how did they feel, was there something you would have liked to be diffrent? We will definitely add a place inside the game where all inputs are written down, as well as a tutorial. However, right now, it is still in early development, so things can still change. 😄 I will add them on the page here tho!
I mean, the standard for Interact has been either E or F in 99% of games, and Z or Enter is RPGmaker or RPGmaker adjacent games, so maybe either, though RMB does remind me of old Adventure games. The water took me a little to find out, since I clicked far away rather than close, and got nothing. Also, something I didn't mention initially, In-action or missed actions that didn't actually do anything still cost stamina.
May i ask what your pc specs are, i just tested the loading problem, on my pc it does not show , hope this question does not seem rude, just want to see if i know someone with specs like yours to try it there!
Wow! I am super impressed with the pixel art your team created for this game. You clearly have some talented artists. As a farming game lover, I hope this project goes far!

The other things are noted!
Thanks a lot!

Love to hear this; it made our day! Especially since we had a lot of issues in the beginning finding a style!
