A downloadable game for Windows

Greetings,

We're pleased to share that Felaria, our inaugural game project, is now in its first playtest phase. The core mechanics—farming, gathering, and selling—are up and running smoothly. This venture marks our team's initial foray into game development.

In brief, Felaria is a farming RPG currently centered around cultivation, yet our ambitions extend beyond. We aim to transform it into a game akin to Rune Factory, encompassing elements of farming, exploration, combat, and dungeon exploration.

This project is the collaborative effort of four students, a collective undertaking as part of our university coursework. We appreciate your interest and anticipate further refinements and expansions in the near future.

Best regards,
Mana, Jonathan ,  Aurelia ,  Nele

Think I diagnosed the issue, it has something to do with how many items have changed, how many trees cut and how much land sowed, the lag seems to increment with that rather than the days.
Do experiment with this.

Also I meant to mention some more points but forgot too (lol)
-The hotbar is not indicated well within the inventory, which was confusing the first play around: it's the top bar of the inventory btw.
-Hotbar needs hotkeys for numbers.

It ran without crashing or making it impossible to continue playing.
It's interesting and I'm curious to see how it continues.
Unfortunately I ended the post with [ESC] and couldn't get the item.
The few other bugs can be fixed. On the whole, the game runs well.

Seems like it would be pretty fun and casual if expanded, the art is pretty good and the music is decent enough, though it's pretty repetitive.

The inputs need to be more obvious as initially I had no idea what I was doing, if anything.
Similarly, the inputs aren't said, if anybody's playing this and was as confused as I was, here are the ones I know of:

WASD (duh)
Left click to interact with items (planting and picking crops, using tools, etc.)
Right Click to interact with land (the shop, chest, letters.)
E for inventory Also, to get more water, go down and click on the water close to you.

These ^ should've been said.
The UI is bland though serviceable.
There's no punishment for fainting and as far as I could tell, no reason to eat other than a sliver of more energy.
Don't know what the amulet does.

Most crucially, the game starts to freeze more and more with each day, at about day 9 or 10, the game crashes.

This does seem promising, I'll be waiting for the full version, but not a lot right now.

Best of luck, cheers!

First of all, thank you!

I was just wondering, after discovering what the inputs are, how did they feel, was there something you would have liked to be diffrent? We will definitely add a place inside the game where all inputs are written down, as well as a tutorial. However, right now, it is still in early development, so things can still change. 😄 I will add them on the page here tho!

The other things are noted!

Thanks a lot!

I mean, the standard for Interact has been either E or F in 99% of games, and Z or Enter is RPGmaker or RPGmaker adjacent games, so maybe either, though RMB does remind me of old Adventure games.
The water took me a little to find out, since I clicked far away rather than close, and got nothing.
Also, something I didn't mention initially, In-action or missed actions that didn't actually do anything still cost stamina.

THANKS!!

May i ask what your pc specs are, i just tested the loading problem, on my pc it does not show , hope this question does not seem rude, just want to see if i know someone with specs like yours to try it there!

Processor: AMD PRO A10-8700B R6
Video card: AMD Radeon (TM) R6 Graphics
8 gig ram.

Wow! I am super impressed with the pixel art your team created for this game. You clearly have some talented artists. As a farming game lover, I hope this project goes far!

Love to hear this; it made our day! Especially since we had a lot of issues in the beginning finding a style!
